| Aug 9 Author Raymond M. Weinstein to discuss his novel, "Soldier's Field: A Novel of Postwar Germany." |
Raymond Weinstein's novel deals with a 19 year old Jewish-American soldier transferred to West Germany in early 1959 and his experience in a post-Nazi society up until his return to the States in mid-1960 when he was discharged from the army.
This is the author's first novel and it draws heavily on his experience as an American soldier, especially his 16 month tour of duty in Germany.
Weinstein is currently working on a sequel, a novel dealing with the main character's life in the 1960's as a college student living in a Brookly neighborhood suffering from white flight, the influx of racial minorities and the area's severe deterioration. The author currently divides his time between Georgia and New York. |

Georgia Military College now offers a Bachelor of Applied Science in two areas. The Business Management concentration is perfect for students with an AAS in a business related field, such as Marketing or Accounting, for example. The Supervision and Leadership concentration is perfect for those with an AAS in other fields, such as Criminal Justice, Computer Technology, any Health Science occupation, or technical occupation, for example. The primary criteria is that applicants must have earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from a regionally accredited college.
We’re hosting an open house and free application session on Monday, August 31st from 5:30 pm – 7 pm so that anyone who is interested in our Bachelor of Applied Science degree can ask questions. Application fees will be waived to those who attend that evening. |
